With more than a decade of experience practicing family law, Emily E. Landeros is a compassionate advocate and skilled legal strategist who guides clients through some of life’s most difficult and personal legal matters. She is known for balancing strength and practicality with the sensitivity and discretion family law cases often require. Emily is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She has also been recognized as a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers and named among the Ones to Watch in Family Law by Best Lawyers in America.
An astute negotiator, Emily focuses on helping clients achieve their unique goals through thoughtful strategy and creative problem-solving. When settlement is possible, she works diligently to ensure her clients get what they need and deserve from the legal process. Always prepared, Emily knows her cases inside and out and is not daunted by the prospect of going to court should it benefit her client. She is considered by clients and colleagues alike to be tough yet approachable, smart yet decidedly down-to-earth, kind, and practical.
A dedicated advocate who is passionate about the law and her clients, Emily honed her deep trial skills while serving as an Assistant District Attorney with the Hays County District Attorney’s Office, where she represented the Department of Family and Protective Services in cases involving child abuse and neglect. Through extensive
courtroom experience, she became highly skilled in trial procedure and advocacy, building the confidence and experience that continue to benefit her clients today.
During law school, Emily served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Catharina Haynes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, where she gained valuable insight into the appellate process and judicial decision-making. She also served as a student attorney with the W.W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic, representing children as an attorney and guardian ad litem in child welfare cases.
